As a kid, we always went over to my Uncle Wayne and Aunt Kathy's house on Sundays, a lot of the time anyways. Through my high school and college years, we didn't go as much, but now that Ellie's here, we're back to it, and are spending a lot more time with them. Aside from my mom, my aunt and uncle are my two closest family members for sure, and I'm so glad that Ellie is growing up with them as such a big part of her life. Today, we headed over for what what was probably the worst game of football I have ever seen in my life. The Redskins pulled out the win, but man was it ugly! Dave and I feel like it's really important to include Ellie in everything and give her all of those great childhood memories that we have (not that she'll remember them now, but still :), so we pulled out the carving knives and let Ellie dig into the pumpkins that we've gotten over the past few weekends. She LOVED it! Oh, AND, she was walking all over the place. In true Ellie fashion, she woke up and decided that today was the day she was going to walk...for real!
Pumpkin Seed Tushy!
What is this stuff?
Diggin' in!
I think she liked it...
I think this is my favorite from the day :)
It makes me happy to know we'll have these memories to share with her :)
Getting messy!
All clean after my sink bath :)
The final product!
This one is completely unrelated, but is too cute not to share!
On a completely separate note, Ellie favorite game right now is peek-a-boo. She plays with herself in the mirror, with the dog, with us... It's too cute!
Here she is playing peek-a-boo from behind a corner in our house...
And here she is playing under Dave's hat on the way over to Uncle Wayne and Aunt Kathy's today...
